Shore Unit
The
coastline is divided into SHORE UNITS according to the
dominant geomorphology, whether it is rock, sediment, or both. Each
unit is further broken down into its across-shore components to capture the
complexity of the shoreline. These components describe the unit from
the backshore to the subtidal.
